Fallen Iceberg

Fallen Iceberg is one of several models made in preparation for the Hourglass. This variation was inspired during a trip to Iceland – while visiting Höfn í Hornafirði Glacier Lagoon, I spotted a small iceberg resembling my twisted sponge.

The Hourglass is a public art installation that highlights the pressing challenge of water scarcity. The sculpture takes the shape of a giant, twisted sponge resembling an hourglass, symbolizing the decreasing availability of water resources.

The model Fallen Iceberg merges the urgent issue of water scarcity with the looming threat of rising temperatures, reflecting the interconnected challenges posed by climate change.
